Progress??
This is the start of a conceptual image I'm working on, not entirely sure if i will keep this image or not. Having these elements within the image recognised by people has turned me off wanting to use it.

Semester Folio
This semester, my folio is being developed as a showcase of Photoshop capability and creativity. As part of my professional development as a certified Photoshop expert, I am constantly seeking to build upon my existing portfolio with new, creative, highly polished Photoshop based imagery. This body of work will involve imagery from a few creative fields that involve significant image manipulation to help
illustrate this capability. The subjects will include matte paintings, conceptual/surreal art, and magazine covers. Each of these subjects was chosen to highlight different areas of creativity and conceptual development, and encompass various areas of photographic techniques.
My folio has the folio outline.
1) Produce four (4) matte paintings to industry standard specifications. Each matte painting should be of a different subject and feel.
I am choosing to do matte paintings as this is an area of particular interest to me, as it allows me to create interesting environments that are visually appealing. Unlike last semesters work, these 4 matte paintings will be linked by technique and style only, and will not form a series.
2) Produce four (4) images in a conceptual/emotive art style. Each image should be distinctively different in mood, colour and composition.
I chose to do some slightly more artistic work for several reasons, the most important being I want to express myself in a more creative way that doesn't simply involve making an image that has only visual appeal.
3) Produce 3 magazine covers for 3 different types of magazines. Each cover should be of different subject matter
Finally, I chose to do some magazine covers as it will allow me to showcase not only technical Photoshop capability, but also integrating design elements. This will mean I need to consider the fact these images will become magazine covers when creating them, so leaving room for titles and other text becomes an important consideration.
